BASIC SALARY: Up to £50,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Business Development Manager / Solar / Energy
To be a successful Business Development Manager with us, you will enjoy consulting with your clients, both residential and commercial, across the UK to assess their energy needs.
Working closely with internal teams, project managers, and installation technicians, you will:
1. Analyse clients' energy consumption patterns and determine the feasibility of solar installation.
2. Negotiate contracts, address client concerns, and close sales to hit targets.
3. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments.
4. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project details on our CRM system.
5. Be responsible for delivering your own business plan/sales strategy.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Business Development Manager / Solar / Energy
It is essential that you have experience within the solar energy industry, with particular preference to sales and/or technical sales, installation, or project management.
You will be comfortable working on your own initiative and be driven by the accountability of being a standalone salesperson.
You will also have:
1. The confidence to impart your knowledge of the solar industry on to others within the team.
2. Experience in managing your own diary/territory.
3. A proven track record in the selling of solar equipment or selling into the solar industry.
4. An interest in clean and renewable energy.
