GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Support Worker to work as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) within an alternative provision based inside a secondary school in Boston, Lincolnshire. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant difference by supporting students in a focused and tailored environment that caters to their individual needs. Key Responsibilities of a Support Worker (HLTA): Providing targeted support to students within the alternative provision, working both 1:1 and with small groups. Assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons tailored to meet the needs of the students. Managing behaviour and maintaining a calm and supportive atmosphere in the alternative provision. Helping students build their confidence, resilience, and engagement with education. Collaborating with teaching staff to implement strategies that address the specific needs of the students. Requirements of a Support Worker (HLTA): Previous experience working with young people, preferably in a secondary school, SEN, or alternative provision setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a calm and empathetic approach. The ability to manage behaviour effectively and foster a positive learning environment. A proactive attitude, with a genuine passion for helping students succeed. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures (essential). Why Join GSL Education?
