All of the students have an Educational, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) with SEMH as their primary need, and many present with complex and challenging behaviours. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils with SEMH needs in both group and one-on-one settings. Assist in the delivery of tailored lesson plans, ensuring each student's individual needs are met. Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management techniques. Encourage the development of social and emotional skills, fostering a positive, growth-oriented mindset. Provide support during transitions between activities, ensuring students remain focused and engaged. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to implement EHCPs effectively. Act as a positive role model, demonstrating resilience, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude.Key Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A caring, patient, and nurturing approach to working with vulnerable young people. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to adapt to changing situations and individual needs.
