Equipment Engineer| Chelmsford

We are looking for an Electronics engineer / Equipment Engineer with an interest in a wide range of disciplines to provide technical support to shift equipment engineers covering all areas of silicon wafer processing equipment, package and test. Projects will include equipment installations, improvements and solving under lying equipment issues. It is a multi-disciplined role where you work hands on and gain experience with working with gases, chemicals, robotics, vacuum, electrical and electronics. The role is onsite and works Monday - Friday office hours. Respond rapidly to equipment issues using your electronics knowledge and experience. Project work, installing new equipment and Equipment modifications. Providing all the necessary documentation and training to others.
Responsible for producing all risk assessments for all equipment. Also host and control of contractors review their method statements and risk assessments issuing a permit to work.Experience in a multidisciplined engineer role with skills combining electromechanical Engineering and electronics.
The ability to understand circuit diagrams and provide board level and component fixes to arrange of electronic equipment including some critical vintage kit.
The willingness to wear Self-contained Breathing apparatus in this role after you have passed a medical and received training.
