Major Recruitment is working alongside a global functional ingredient distributor who has operations across North America, Europe, and Asia. They offer ingredients and solutions across Food, Personal Care, Feed, and Animal Nutrition.
Due to an expansion into the UK market, they are now looking for a Sales Manager to develop business throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities of a Sales Manager
1. Responsible for the acquisition of new customers and the development of your customer base.
2. Observing and analysing the market to identify profitable projects.
3. Presenting the company, along with active sales of our product range and services.
4. Preparing independent offers for customers and processing orders.
5. Identifying trends and developing new solutions in cooperation with our product development department.
6. Participating in (international) trade fairs and providing active support.
7. Coordinating the business relationship with HQ in Asia.
Skills Required to be a Successful Sales Manager
1. Previous sales experience.
2. Knowledge of the UK market.
3. Experience working with food or functional ingredients.
4. Confident in the use of common MS Office applications and experience in the use of a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
5. Strong team and service orientation in a flexible work environment.
6. Independent work, focused on priorities and deadlines.
7. Customer-oriented, entrepreneurial thinking and acting.
8. Willingness to travel.
9. Business Development experience.
