Team Leader - New Business / Commercial Sales
If you are an experienced insurance sales leader with a passion for motivating teams and driving performance, our client is looking for a New Business Team Leader to oversee and inspire a team of Commercial Account Executives. Ensuring a high-energy, high-performance culture, you will thrive in a fast-paced sales environment and enjoy leading by example as well as mentoring and managing a team.
Some Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
* Lead and manage a team of Commercial Insurance Account Executives, driving sales performance and ensuring targets are met.
* Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings to provide support, coaching, and identify areas for development.
* Contribute to achieving sales targets by actively converting leads and generating revenue.
* Monitor and report on team and individual performance to senior management.
* Deliver ongoing training and upskilling on sales techniques and product knowledge.
* Allocate and oversee lead management within the system, ensuring all opportunities are actioned.
* Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, GDPR, and industry best practices.
* Build strong relationships across the team, with clients, and insurers.
Key skills and experience:
* Proven experience in a Team Leader role within the insurance sector.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a sales team.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads.
* Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced sales environment.
* Knowledge of commercial insurance products and market conditions
* Understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and passionate about delivering results.
