Working Full Time: 37.5 Hours Per Week
You will be accountable as a clinical member to ensure you perform your role in a safe, competent manner within your designated area such as anaesthetic support, scrub, and recovery, providing specialist care to meet the needs of the pre/peri/post-operative patient.
You will be responsible for maintaining effective communication throughout the areas of theatre services and between the medical, nursing, administrative, and management staff to provide the best care to patients.
You will ensure that patients and relatives are involved in their care to meet all their needs.
You will participate in ensuring that there is an effective, motivated, and competent workforce, and ensure that high-quality standards are maintained and developed.
You will be responsible for the accurate recording, collation, and monitoring of patient information within our records management systems, including Meditech, and ensure appropriate feedback of information is given along with the initiation of any necessary remedial action.
You will be accountable for your contribution to audit and research within your area.
You will ensure your daily practice fulfills your professional requirements as outlined by the NMC/HCPC code of conduct and guiding documents, and maintain your active registration on the NMC/HCPC register.
You will contribute to promoting a positive team-based attitude, striving for the highest standards of care and achieving excellence through continued development and compassion.
When instructed, you will support senior management in the organization and smooth running of the Unit, ensuring the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics are met throughout the department, creating an environment that allows your team to maximize their ability.
The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 438 general and acute beds.
Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 56 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate, and outpatient facility.
Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services serving the local rural population.
The Trust employs over 6258 staff (headcount), including temporary bank staff, and provides acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services, and obstetric services to a population of approximately 407,000.
In 2022/2023, there were more than 503,342 patient attendances (inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic), an increase of nearly 10,000 compared to the previous year.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £27.50 (standard) or £55.50 (enhanced), deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.
You are encouraged to enroll for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £16 per year applies.
