We are looking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Teacher of Boys' Physical Education and Life Skills to join a forward-thinking department dedicated to providing opportunities for both competitive and non-competitive activities, while promoting a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
You will have a track record of excellent classroom practice, be committed to high standards of learning and student progress, and have the energy and vision to build on current progress, with ambitions for yourself and our school. Expertise in a broad range of sports is vital, and a specialism in rugby would be an advantage, but is not essential.
The role includes the high-level delivery of the Key Stage 3 Lifestyle curriculum, which includes practical PE and Life Skills, GCSE PE, and OCR Sport Science, alongside the support and delivery of the extensive out-of-hours learning programme and inter-school fixtures offered at the College. High standards of professionalism and a passion for excellence will be very important, as will a willingness to devote time and energy to the job both in and out of school hours.
This is a full-time, permanent appointment to start in September 2025.
Closing date for applications: Monday 17 March 2025.
Interviews: Week beginning 31 March 2025.
We reserve the right to interview early should an exceptional candidate apply.
Please return the completed application form, along with a covering letter to: vacancies@penryn-college.cornwall.sch.uk or post to HR Office, Penryn College, Kernick Road, Penryn, Cornwall, TR10 8PZ.
