Hours worked out with 7am-8pm will be paid at basic rate plus 1/3 hourly rate. Sleep-in payments are paid at the National Living Wage rate. 32 paid annual leave days per year, rising to 37 days after 5 years of service.
As a Care Assistant within Adult Services Resources, you will be part of a key team to empower the people we support, including those with long-term health conditions, to take control of their lives and seek opportunities to achieve their full potential in mainstream society.
You will promote social inclusion and offer opportunities for people with disabilities in various community settings. Support service users by increasing their social and independent living skills in a person-centred way that promotes social inclusion principles.
You may assist with everyday life skills, personal care, housework, shopping, cooking, attending appointments, administering medication, and recording information in support plans.
You will support maintaining regular contact with family and friends, social events/activities, colleges, work opportunities, and holidays.

You must have or be willing to achieve within the first registration period the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF level 6 (equivalent to SVQ2) or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration requirements.
Duties include all aspects of personal care and the ability to undertake moving and handling tasks, including pushing and pulling wheelchairs.
Flexibility is required in working hours to meet the needs of service users.
The successful candidate will work on an as-required basis, including days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and nights, including public holidays, Christmas, and New Year. The role involves working to maximize personal independence, health, and wellbeing, and accessing community opportunities.
The candidate must demonstrate good communication, organizational, workload management, teamwork, literacy, and IT skills. The role includes working both as part of a team and independently.
