What's involved with this role: Interim Senior Application Support Officer Job Ref: Bristol 5263834 Pay Rate: £316.42 per day PAYE Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2-3 months City: BRISTOL The role is hybrid. The office base is City Hall Bristol and there will be a minimum expectation to undertake an initial induction in person and to come into the office once a month. You could be asked to come in on other days if there was a specific requirement for an in person session. We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience using the Finance system, Unit 4 ERP, to support specific project work. The successful candidate will quickly take on responsibilities and contribute to the project by leveraging their expertise in Unit 4 ERP to ensure efficient progress and successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Manage the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of Application Support policies, processes, procedures and standards. Manage the implementation of service improvement working in partnership with internal/external stakeholders Provide and monitor an effective Application Support Function. Manage the day-to-day activities, ensuring service levels are maintained and continually improved. Lead/oversee co-ordination of system upgrades. Ensure escalation of issues to system providers or Application Support Leaders as appropriate. Ensure effective liaison with relevant suppliers and stakeholders providing best practice advice when appropriate. Analyse performance and make recommendations for improvements to process and user controls based on analysis of data and management information. Key requirements: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Good SQL knowledge Proven experience in applications support, including system administration, troubleshooting, and user support. Experience in : Using and developing a wide range of U4ERP modules including GL, AR, AP, Planner and logistics 2nd line support and issue resolution System upgrades Extensive experience with the administration and support of enterprise-level applications. Experience in supervising or leading a team within an IT support environment.
