Summary We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about dynamic collections and house management, demands high standards, and believes in making beauty and history accessible to all, to join us as a Collections and House Manager in the Mid Ulster Property Group. What it's like to work here This role will cover all the Mid Ulster portfolio of properties, which stretch from Strabane to Newry in Northern Ireland; a combination of country houses (The Argory, Springhill & Ardress House), parkland (including Derrymore House and Demesne), an island (Coney Island) and industrial heritage buildings (Wellbrook Beetling Mill and Gray’s Printing Press). Your primary location will be at The Argory; you’ll be working across the portfolio, so expect to be spending time at several sites each week, so you will need to travel independently. What you'll be doing As Collections and House Manager you will be part of the Property Leadership Team. You will manage 3 members of staff across the 3 mansion properties and are the head of the Collections and House team in Mid Ulster which is made up of 20 staff and our dedicated volunteers. You will manage the operational and project budgets to ensure that our collections and houses are maintained and provide an exceptional visitor experience. You will also be a member of the Property Leadership Team making decisions with the other members which benefit the whole portfolio. Looking after historic properties requires support and you will work closely with colleagues such as the Facilities Manager and internal consultants like the Regional Conservator and Cultural Heritage Curators to spend budgets effectively and engage with external conservators. You will report to the General Manager and input into property business plans and ensure the National Trust strategy and values are reflected in everything you do.
