About the Role: As a Site Engineer, you will be a crucial member of the project team, responsible for the effective and efficient running of the site throughout the project's delivery. The key performance areas of the Site Engineer are aligned with those of the entire site team and include: • Ensuring that the project is planned, programmed, and delivered on time to meet the client's satisfaction, considering quality, safety, environmental impact, and budget. • Maintaining good working relationships with the client, subcontractors, suppliers, designers, and the general public. • Maximizing the use of all available resources to foster reasonable and corporate development for both the client and employees. • Ensuring that the entire site is maintained in a safe and efficient manner, presenting a strong credit to and marketing statement for the company. Duties and Responsibilities: • Maintain project documents according to prescribed procedures and interpret them to ensure the project is constructed correctly, in line with the latest information. • Ensure correct dimensional control of the project by setting out using all methods. • Measure executed works for record purposes. • Keep accurate records regularly. • Assist other team members in carrying out their delegated responsibilities. • Monitor site safety and take appropriate action as needed. • Take off quantities for ordering materials and ensuring the works progress as planned. • Liaise with team members and the client team to move the works forward. • Monitor the progress of the works against the construction programme and provide input for updating and revising the programmes. • Contribute to the QA and Quality Control of the works and assist in monitoring environmental impacts. • Lead and mentor Trainee Engineers. • Be responsible for the upkeep and quality of the works. • Maintain control procedures as per our client's Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). • Uphold our client's corporate image. Education and Training / Key Skills / Experience Person Specification: • Adequate experience • Meng / BEng / Foundation Degree / BTEC / Degree in Civil Engineering • IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) • First Aid at Work • SMSTS • CSCS Card (management level) • Driving licence • Strong communication skills, both oral and written • Good time management and organizational skills • Enthusiastic and self-motivated • Approachable, professional manner • Reliable • Ability to work independently, flexibly, and as part of a team
