I’m always enthusiastic about different roles and companies, it would be a poor do if I wasn’t, but this Mechanical Design Manager role takes this to a new level.
You'll be joining a company that is vibrant and quirky; there is a scooter in the MD’s office and a genuine warmth that many hotels would do well to emulate.
Then there are the projects.
The recent/live list includes:
• 2 new-build schools
• Battery test facilities
• A rocket launch facility (seriously!)
• An office (they do one every couple of years typically)
• Residential developments including new build, change of use and refurb
• Numerous decarbonisation for schools etc.
• Energy centres
You’ll know some of the jobs as a lot of what they do is local to Leeds and Bradford; they have won awards for their work in Holbeck, while you’ll be involved with schemes up and down the country.
As the Mechanical Design Manager you'll be working alongside two electrical counterparts supporting the whole team with the design process on the full range of schemes that they deal with. The role could equally be called Lead Mechanical Engineer, Technical Services Manager or Technical Guru. It's an ideal post if you have been working as a M&E Coordinator, Building Services Manager in a main contractor, or at Principal/Associate level within consultancy.
They offer a cracking package including 35 days holiday, 4%:4% pension, car allowance, volunteer days and on-site gym.
Likewise, they have hybrid working and are easy to reach being between Leeds and Bradford with easy access to the ring road and M62.
If you are looking for a move that is both different and special we need to talk...
