Role Overview
The Head of Enterprise Risk will lead the firm’s risk management strategy, ensuring effective identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of risks across the organization. This pivotal role involves aligning risk management practices with the firm’s strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational framework.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise risk management (ERM) framework that aligns with the firm's objectives and regulatory standards.
2. Identify, evaluate, and prioritize risks across various areas, including operational, financial, investment, reputational, and regulatory risks.
3. Oversee risk assessments for potential investments, working closely with deal teams to identify and address risk factors.
4. Establish and maintain risk governance structures, policies, and procedures.
5. Lead the preparation and presentation of risk reports to senior management and the board.
6. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, working proactively with external regulators and auditors.
7. Monitor emerging risks and global trends, recommending proactive adjustments to the firm’s risk strategy.
8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including investment, compliance, finance, and operations teams, to integrate risk considerations into decision-making.
9. Promote a strong risk-aware culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
1. 10+ years of experience in risk management, with a strong track record in enterprise risk within private equity, asset management, or financial services.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, PRM) are highly desirable.
3. In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
4. Proven ability to lead and implement ERM frameworks in complex, fast-paced environments.
5. Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
6. Experience engaging with senior management and boards on risk-related matters.
