Main duties of the job Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for children with complex needs in the community. Provide clinical guidance, supervision, and mentorship within a small team of Occupational Therapists (OT), OT assistant and regular students. Provide administrative support to the Service Manager, assisting with team coordination, performance monitoring, and service development. Ensure person-centred care is delivered in line with service standards and best practice. Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives. Significant experience in paediatric occupational therapy (at either Band 6 or Band 7 level). Strong clinical leadership and team-working skills. Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff and/or students. Ability to manage a varied and highly complex caseload and provide high-quality care in a community setting. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Passion for making a difference in the lives of children and families in the community. Experience of working under pressure and actively using formal and informal supervision to support this. Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing needs and priorities.
