More than 380 million Christians experience high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith according to Open Doors research. That’s 1 in 7. Open Doors UK & Ireland works as part of the Open Doors global network to connect Christians in the UK and Ireland with our persecuted brothers and sisters, raising awareness of global persecution, mobilising prayer, support and action.
In the last few years in the UK, we have seen media and politicians become more interested in issues relating to international persecution and freedom of religion or belief (FoRB). This has given us a window of opportunity to press for change. Open Doors UK & I is now seeking a Head of Advocacy & Public Affairs with the desire and gifting to strengthen Christians in the persecuted church. The successful candidate will lead and manage the advocacy and media teams with passion and skill to build on the existing momentum.
We are looking for a committed Christian* with significant experience in advocacy, media, strategic leadership, and team management who is agile in mindset, inspirational, and visionary to achieve even greater impact. In the midst of the current climate of global change and challenge, this is a key spiritual and strategic leadership opportunity.
Please consider whether you might invest your passions and gifts in strengthening the persecuted Church all over the world.
