The Role
This role offers an opportunity to join the Wishaw Psychological Therapies Team at Consultant level to work alongside the existing Consultant. The post holder will take an autonomous lead role to deliver a clinically effective and high quality service. As well as carrying a clinical caseload appropriate to the demands of the role, the post holder will have responsibility for the operational management and professional leadership within the team.

What we'll need you to bring
To be eligible for Registration as a Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist as per the requirements laid down by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
Registered with the HCPC
Either
hold a post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, which includes academic, research and clinical components
or
be granted statement of equivalence by the BPS with respect to qualifications gained overseas
or
meet the requirements by having attained chartered status via the “grandparenting” route
Specific courses in the theory and practice of management and leadership
Post qualification training in specialised psychological therapies
It would be great if you also have
Post Qualification training/CPD in Leadership
Maintain continuing professional development i.e. formal and informal postgraduate training, additional clinical experience etc. in the context of current British Psychological Society and HCPC guidelines
Further postgraduate training in supervision of trainee clinical/ counselling psychologists and Clinical Associates in Applied Psychology
