About the role:
Be part of a project engineering team responsible for managing the installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the electrical generation systems, LV, small power, ancillary and control systems for the project and to the project timescales.

Role & Responsibilities:
Liaise with engineering, service departments, project management and other project engineers on electrical pre-commissioning and installation issues.
Review and appraise electrical systems against current drawings offering feedback on engineering design deliverables & project specifications.
Oversee the elements of the commissioning process.
Issue, control and manage LV Commissioning Procedures, permits and general documentation for limitations of access pertinent to the project.
Undertake panel and system modifications in line with current designs and be able to fault find within a variety of LV systems.
Implement and oversee quality assurance measures at vendor premises where applicable.
Responsible for leading the pre-commissioning activities and in some circumstances the electrical installation of a projects of gas storage, Battery storage peaking stations based across the UK and Ireland.
Attend progress meetings with contractors, client and internal projects delivery team.
Develop and update commissioning plans to validate the reliability and functionality of energy storage systems.
Review electrical installation plans where required and advise amendments as necessary.
Review current vendor drawings and commissioning documentation
Attend electrical progress meetings with the engineering department.
Attend sites, project dependant as required throughout the UK.
Happy to support other pre commissioning engineers on other works for functional testing and documentation as appropriate or work requirement
Development opportunities in fields of protection, testing, explosive atmospheres, gas storage, battery storage.
Recruitment and succession requirements
Essential
A background in electrical engineering
Site management experience.
CSCS card holder
BS7671 18th edition
willingness to undertake training to achieve authorisation (HV Switching (SAP)
Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Good IT skills – Word, Excel and Microsoft Project.
Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home as required.
Desirable
Experience of CHP installations.
2391 inspection and testing or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
Good understanding of both electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
Good understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
Knowledge of the ‘Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015’
Good IT skills – Word, Excel and Microsoft Project.

This a full time permanent position. The working hours are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours.
