Main Responsibilities:
The School of Engineering in Central London is seeking enthusiastic and organized technicians with expertise in Virtual Reality, Software Engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and CAD Engineering.
The primary role involves assisting in the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Labs under the guidance of the technical manager. This includes supporting the delivery of taught practical sessions, supervising students on projects, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with teaching activities in VR Labs, PC Lab, Engineering Labs, and Workshop facilities as needed.
Provide technical advice, guidance, and assistance to students and academic colleagues.
Demonstrate equipment usage and set up materials for classes.
Undertake routine maintenance of equipment and escalate issues when necessary.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety policies and regulations.
Support staff in purchasing equipment and materials for learning and teaching.
Manage electronic and hard copy records related to equipment and consumables.
Candidates must have a minimum HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, or equivalent practical experience in an educational or industry environment.
