Role: Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £50-60k depending on previous experience plus package

The Role:
Gordon Leak Associates are working with an award-winning Housing company and due to growth is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. My client will offer a competitive salary, career progression, and a fantastic work-life balance.
Duties:
1. Oversee and manage the centralised material purchasing
2. Negotiation and finalisation of schedules
3. Circulation to the wider teams
4. Setting up, updating and management of procurement schedules for each project
5. Prepare detailed scope of works/measured pricing schedules/marked up drawings per package of works and issue tenders to sub-contractors
6. Analysis and negotiation
7. Raising sub-contract/supplier orders with the correct contractual paperwork
8. Tracking and identifying changes to original scopes
9. Co-ordinating, negotiating and agreeing cost implications with the relevant parties, in accordance with the contract terms
10. Assisting the Accounts team by reviewing and responding to queries with sub-contractor payment applications
11. Undertaking sub-contractor procurement tasks
12. Co-ordinating queries and ensuring all works captured within the tender documents are added to the pricing schedule
13. Preparation of measured pricing schedules and estimate for work
Minimum Requirements:
1. Quantity Surveying experience of 5+ years
2. RICS chartered, or in the process of becoming RICS chartered
3. Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent certification
4. Residential experience from either the main contracting or development side
5. Familiarity with construction contracts, current building regulations and industry standards
6. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
7. Excellent Microsoft Office skills
8. Attention to detail and in-depth analysing are both skills that would be beneficial to this role
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills
