North England and Scotland coverage - this role is hybrid with 2-3 days per week on site. You must be able to travel between the North and Scotland as required. You can be based in either Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, York, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen or Durham and expense travel from there.

Our client is a Project Management and Engineering Consultancy experiencing success and growth across Critical National Infrastructure, looking to grow their team to hire a Principal Consultant (Associate Director level).
You will need to have experience with delivery as well as advising clients on establishing PMOs, Target Operating Models, Change/Transformation, and Programme assessment and setup. They will consider candidates wanting to take a step up into this role.
Consulting experience is a must and must have connections within sectors like Nuclear, Transport, Utilities, or Defence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with clients across Critical National Infrastructure to assess, advise and deliver programme and PMO services.
* Take responsibility for programme and project delivery.
* Set up, assess and transform some of the largest and complex programmes in the UK within our client’s Nuclear, Defence, Water, Transportation, Power and Renewables sectors.
* Work with clients to solve complex challenges and build enduring capability that will set them up for the future.
* Lead business change programmes, process mapping, target operating model assessment and setup.
* Work across programme lifecycles to setup and deliver within major transformational PMOs.
* Design, develop and implement a PMO inclusive of people, process and systems.
* Deliver strategic advisory services for transformations including organisation design, project design and management, improving efficiencies and performance, etc.
* Effectively manage key stakeholders both internally and externally.
* Potentially some line management in the future.
Key Skills:
* Experience within a consulting environment within Complex Infrastructure projects.
* Experience delivering advisory services across at least one of the following: programme/project setup, TOM, change, maturity assessment.
* Ability to set up and deliver programme change and project lifecycles and PMOs.
* A strong knowledge of organisational and process design.
* Ability to assess maturities of Projects, PMOs and provide advisory services.
* Business Development/Growth experience.
* Hold relevant certifications such as APM PMQ/PPQ/ChPP; MoP; MSP; PRINCE2, P3O, PROSCI, Lean, Six Sigma.
