Business Development Manager – Job Description
Position Type: Full-time or Part-time (suitable for school hours)
Location: Falkirk / Hybrid
We’re on the lookout for an experienced, self-motivated BDM who thrives on building relationships, creating opportunities, and driving success. If you’re a confident communicator, enjoy taking initiative, and have a knack for connecting with people, you’ll fit right in at Crunchy Carrots.
We’d love it if you have experience in digital media sales, but we’re open to someone who has the drive and determination to learn and grow in this space.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Building: Proactively reach out to existing and potential new clients, developing meaningful connections to understand their needs and how our services can meet them.
2. Sales Growth: Achieve sales targets by identifying opportunities, pitching our services, and closing deals.
3. Digital Media Expertise: Use your knowledge of digital media (or be keen to learn) to offer clients bespoke solutions for their marketing goals offering them a real ROI.
4. Lead Generation: Identify and nurture new leads through various channels, including networking, our own marketing channels, use our existing sponsorship avenues, and online platforms.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with our Business Development Manager and marketing team to align on sales strategies and campaigns.
6. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, progress and client interactions to share insights with the wider team.
Requirements
1. Proven sales experience, ideally within digital media or a related industry.
2. Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.
3. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationships.
5. Goal-oriented mindset with a drive to meet and exceed targets.
6. Knowledge of digital marketing trends and platforms is a plus.
7. Comfortable with hybrid working arrangements and flexibility as needed.
8. Most importantly, be a great person with a great attitude who can work within our team.
