Contract Role
Duration: 6 months +
Rate: £23.10 p/h
The team alternate weekly between 6-2 and 2-10 shifts.
This role falls inside IR35.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Quality Technician/Inspector to be based on-site supporting a customer program in Nottingham. The desired candidate will have previous experience in an Aerospace Quality Inspection role, performing inspections to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications, and defining/containing non-conformance when identified by Receipt Inspection or by Customer.
Support includes:
1. Visual, documentation, and packaging checks
2. Part serialisation checks
3. Dimensional inspection of suspect parts
4. Review and approval (stamp-off) of CofCs
5. Work with internal logistics to ensure affected material is quarantined and returned to supplier as required
6. Evaluate customer complaints with internal quality/ME team and launch containment if required
Experience Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3 years previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment
2. Strong hands-on inspection experience, using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers
3. Knowledge/experience of AS9100 standards highly advantageous
4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
5. Previous experience of SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel and Word) advantageous
6. Ability to prioritise workload and meet stringent deadlines
7. Must be based within a commutable distance of Nottingham
