Role can be based in the UK which is Hybrid with regular travel to MK and London offices OR Denmark In or near Copenhagen with travel to the UK on a regular basis at the relevant offices.
* Ensuring the financial development of the company. To lead and manage the company together with the executive leadership team and to manage the Finance Team to ensure compliance with statutory requirements as well as policies and procedures defined on local level, corporate level within Deutsche Telekom Group.
* Standard Finance and Controlling Responsibility over all Service Lines: accuracy of month-end results, Balance Sheet and Taxation, Forecasting and Budgeting Process, Analyzing of results and recommending corrective actions, Reporting to Shareholders and internal/external Stakeholders.
* Cash Management and ensuring of sufficient funding for growth also via external financial institutions.
* Advisory role in all strategic decisions of the company (e.g. investment in new Service Offering) regarding the financial impacts.
* Actively driving improvement of Profitability through defining the company strategy with the management board and discussion with the Managers in company and by enforcing and implementing corrective actions.
* Risk and Opportunity Management of all initiatives and actions.
* Responsible for and Leading on Internal Audits
* Transition of new deals and integration in existing environment.
* Legal function for DTBS LBU, Commercial and Contract management, management of litigations, HR legal.
* Procurement and sourcing function (esp. Supporting the Bid management)
* Resposible for Facilities Management
* Responsible for PQIT and Security Management
* Acts as the Country Compliance Officer with associated task
* Internal (interdepartmental):
* Partner to the MD and all PU Line Managers and Business Line Managers
* Integration and close interaction with corporate finance & controlling functions, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, PQIT and Security
* Interaction with Workers council
External:
* Contact with potential customers in Sales process (due diligence, price discussions and negotiations).
* Contact, management and negotiations with Landlord, Providers, Subcontractors
* Contacts and management of external Lawyers
* Ongoing contacts with existing customers regarding any financial requests and price adjustments. Financial representation on joint Steering Committees with customers. (usual with CIO or CFO of customer).
* All local external suppliers especially of Hardware and Software (e.g., IBM, HP, Compaq, CA, BMC).
* Shareholders
* Financial Institutions and Auditors.
* Management Responsibility:
* Management of finance & controlling team, Legal Team, Procurement Team, Compliance Team, PQIT and Security Team and being responsible for its motivation and development.
* Responsibility for all core financial functions of the company (Finance, Controlling, Procurement, Processes & IT, a.o. according to clusters as of corporate HQ FC).
* Incumbent shares responsibility for all sales/procurement activities in the country within the given guidelines
* Board Membership of the UK and Nordics
* The ideal candidate has a good track record as Chief Financial Officer with a strong focus on supporting the Business through financial and commercial engineering as well as ensuring profitability targets through costs optimizations, monitoring processes and best practices in all fields of the company.
* They have already a strong experience in managing teams. Preferably gained experience within international matrix company(ies) operating in the ICT sector
* Has thorough, up to date and practical knowledge of financial/controlling methods and tools, financial processes, and controls (SOX 404), general management and leadership.
* The candidate must have a clear career progression and demonstrated track record of successfully filling roles with ever-increasing responsibility, as well as concrete achievements, in projects.
* Ideally, is able to demonstrate: a good understanding of the function, being familiar with:
-the strategic and operational dimensions of the job
-the global business drivers and priorities
-the objectives of the company and future business challenges
-knowledge of the ICT market
* They strive to continuously improve and to come up with ways of improving financial processes and procedures. Will be able to act in supporting the business and providing transparent information to the business to enable the steering of the company.
* The candidate has experience in strategic planning and execution and shows the ability to combine international requirements with local needs. By having a helicopter view, but also a “hands-on” style, he/she is willing and competent to drive concrete actions and to offer pragmatic solutions to problems.
* They have experience working in matrix organization and has the ability to add value to the organization and executive leadership team, but also contribute and reflect to the international organization. The candidate is able to lead and manage transformation and change. They have experience working in an environment where transformation is key.
* The candidate is a hard-working and results-oriented person with a good time management and has excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication and negotiation skills, which inspire and facilitate team thinking and team achievements. Strong Leadership skills.
