The Housing IT team have completely transformed the technology used by the council's Housing department. After a four:year programme, the new systems are in and being shaped for great services. Capita One Housing is at the core of this and we need great people to support it.
The Role:
As a Housing IT Business Analyst, you'll collaborate with a dedicated ICT team, engaging with business stakeholders and functional consultants to enhance and support our Capita One Housing and Capita Self Serve Portal systems.
The Capita Self Serve Portal, launched in June 2024, is undergoing continuous improvement, while the Capita One Housing system, which went live in July 2023, is transitioning to a Business:as:Usual (BAU) structure with a dynamic team of permanent staff focused on system maintenance and configuration.
In your role, you will provide tier 2 support to users alongside one other Business Analyst, four Housing System Analysts, four tier 1 Support Officers, as well as trainers and managers.
Your responsibilities will include facilitating workshops, gathering business requirements, creating functional specifications, and coordinating system upgrades and developments. A key focus will be on ensuring that our processes are efficient, cost:effective, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards, including GDPR.

About You:
You should have prior experience supporting a Housing Management System, preferably with a Capita system (although not necessary) and a background in social housing or local government.
You will need to be skilled in developing business workflows and effectively communicating the benefits of the One Housing system to stakeholders.
Your strong attention to detail and problem:solving abilities will be essential in supporting users and delivering high:quality solutions. Experience in managing end:to:end projects is essential, as is your capability to produce functional documentation and assist with testing processes.
