We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and highly motivated Research Associate to join an exciting new business venture focused on applying the company's proprietary gene silencing platform to the development of novel human therapeutics. Our technology facilitates programmable, tunable, stable and specific silencing activity that differentiates it from alternative gene editing or gene regulation approaches, and enables production of programmable, next-generation advanced therapies, addressing many current limitations. The successful candidate will be joining a multidisciplinary team of computational and experimental biologists. The post is ideal for a dynamic individual looking to be part of a cutting-edge research program that will also have real impact on patients' lives. Due to the early-stage nature of the company, it is imperative to have a pragmatic, can-do, collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform core molecular biology techniques such as lentivirus production, plasmid preparation, PCR and DNA sequencing.
* Conduct tissue culture work with iPSCs, primary immune cells, and HEK cells.
* Perform analytical assays such as FACS and qPCR.
* Execute experimental tasks with precision, diligence, and consistency in the lab.
* Support the multidisciplinary team by following protocols and ensuring data reliability and reproducibility.
* Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating commitment to shared goals and excellence in laboratory work.

Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
* Basic understanding of molecular biology techniques, such as lentivirus production, plasmid and DNA preparation, and PCR.
* Basic understanding of cell culture techniques and related analytical assays, including FACS and qPCR.
* Wet lab experience working with multiple relevant techniques, as listed above.
* Methodical and systematic approach to laboratory work.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and protocols, with training provided as necessary.
Desirable:
* DNA sequencing and data analysis experience.
* Use of standard operating procedures, along with electronic lab notebooks / laboratory information management systems.

* MSc or equivalent experience; prior industry experience is advantageous but not required.
