Job responsibilities Woodlands is a purpose-built 27-bed unit, offering specialist Level 2 neurological rehabilitation as well as long term care and support for patients with complex neurological needs. Our team provides specialist treatment to patients with physical and cognitive impairments resulting from acquired/traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions, such as spinal injury, stroke, Huntington’s disease, and Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Furthermore, plans are underway to admit more acute patients at the early stages of their rehabilitation journey, such as those requiring tracheostomy care. This role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of an enthusiastic, supportive, experienced multi-disciplinary team, consisting of a Rehabilitation Consultant, Junior Doctor, Neuropsychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists, Specialist Nurses and Rehabilitation Assistants, as well as a full complement of a 24-hour nursing team. Working within a highly skilled Physiotherapy team, who will provide support and guidance, you will hold your own caseload of patients while supporting our Lead to ensure the provision of an efficient Physiotherapy service. Woodlands Neurological Rehabilitation Centre provides complex neurorehabilitation and is part of the Active Care Group Neuro Network (consisting of 25 sites nationally) which has a focus on the use of clinical expertise, innovation, and technology to meet patients’ expectations of their rehabilitation goals. What you'll be working: Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
