Overview of the Role We are seeking an ambitious Technical Sales Manager to join our team, specializing in CSST (Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing) and shaping the future of gas installations. Your primary mission will be to develop and manage all sales activities, driving growth and maximizing profitability across North England, Scotland & Republic of Ireland. Ideal candidate will be based north of Birmingham. Whilst this role is home based, you are expected to visit sites across your customers on a weekly basis. Key Responsibilities: Identify and develop customer opportunities while maintaining strong relationships. Develop and manage an annual sales budget for your region. Actively market Gastite solutions across North England, Scotland, and the Republic of Ireland. Support marketing activities, including sales events and trade shows. Utilize market intelligence to identify and secure new accounts and sales opportunities. Regularly communicate with customers to ensure high service levels and solutions. Negotiate contract terms and conditions of sale. Work with internal teams to monitor pricing, costs, margins, turnover, and market share. Develop and maintain a project portfolio and provide monthly progress reports. Monitor and improve customer satisfaction. Ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries. Collaborate with internal departments regarding customer concerns and business opportunities. Complete monthly sales forecasts and activity reports. Participate in team meetings and technical committees as required. Promote Gastite products to end-users and EPC. Skills & Experience Field sales experience in the HVAC sector. Basic knowledge of heating systems. Experience selling to M&E Contractors, M&E Consultants, and Plumbing Merchants. Understanding of back selling and driving product requirements through specification. Proven track record in business development and sales growth. Technical competence to discuss engineered solutions with customer engineers. High business acumen, preferably with a technical qualification or a minimum of five years in a similar role. Successful marketing management experience with tangible outcomes. Excellent communication, influence, and negotiation skills. Highly confident, self-motivated, and driven to succeed. Experience in effective communication with senior executives. Strong networking and relationship-building skills. Task-focused with the drive to complete tasks quickly. Ability to continuously improve and innovate. High degree of honesty and integrity. Leadership and direction-setting capabilities. Excellent people management and social skills. Proficient in English, both written and oral. Computer literate.
