Position: PMLD Teaching Assistant | Location: Leeds
Axcis Education are proud to be supporting a wonderful, inclusive and nurturing SEND school in Leeds that provides education to some incredible young and vulnerable people. To help support those people, we are looking for exceptional individuals with a caring and positive outlook who want to assist in opening up the curriculum for learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.
We would welcome interest from anyone that has worked in Care Homes, Community Care, Hospital Based Schooling, and PMLD Settings. Being comfortable with intimate care, feeding, moving and handling, and any hoist experience is an advantage, but a willingness to undertake training is more crucial than this.
The school is a warm and welcoming setting and provides superb support for pupils with profound learning needs, medical needs, and occasionally young people with terminal illnesses. The role can be emotionally intense but exceptionally rewarding, and we encourage all interested individuals to consider undertaking some shadowing time with Axcis at the school to truly understand the complexities and challenges that this can present.
If you are interested, then please click on the apply button and contact Andrew Masterman on 0113 513 1717.
