A leading manufacturing business based in Widnes is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. This role ensures efficient warehouse processes and workflow, safety protocols, and inventory management. You will oversee and motivate a team of warehouse staff to meet performance goals and maintain a productive and safe working environment.
About the role:
* Ensure that inventory is managed to the highest levels of accuracy including supporting Stock Takes, and reconcile of stock monthly.
* Ensure Health and safety to all employees and visitors is key and at the forefront of all warehousing activities.
* Ensuring that all preparation is completed for customer and certification audits.
* Manage delivery/collection schedules and booking in.
* Implement and maintain Warehouse cleaning schedules.
* Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
* Forward planning and co-ordination of activities with other departments.
* Ensuring the quality standards are being adhered to at all times in respect of warehouse activities.
* Management of data inputting on a bespoke stock system, stock checking, order picking and loading.
* Control of the day to day Warehouse & Yard activities.
* Responsible for training & development of Warehouse Operatives.
* Manage all of the site disposal & segregation options and work with the most cost effective route.
* Manage storage and rotation of raw materials to minimise external storage and disposal costs.
* Carry out and report on monthly cycle counts and audits as required.
* Assist with day to day activities in the warehouse where necessary.
About the person:
* Previous experience working within a warehouse environment with experience overseeing a small team.
* Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment, ideally from within a chemicals or powder making industry.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Capable of still getting hands on with day to day warehouse tasks.
