Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and challenging behaviour in schools across Bridgend. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people who require additional support to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with ALN and challenging behaviour.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies.
- Work closely with teaching staff to adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual pupils.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages engagement and learning.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, offering patience, empathy, and understanding.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with ALN or challenging behaviour, is desirable.
- Experience (personal or professional) working with Autism and/or ADHD.
- Patience, resilience, and strong interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of young people.
- The ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
- Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the school and pupils.
