Job Title: Reporting and Analysis Manager
Reports To: Director of Asset Management (UK)
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
* 5 years of experience in data reporting, analysis, and systems integration.
* Demonstrated experience in consolidating reporting systems and managing data from multiple sources.
* Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and creating data pipelines.
* Strong SQL skills for querying and managing large datasets.
* Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modelling).
* Solid understanding of SCADA systems and their integration with business intelligence platforms.
* Understanding of data architecture and data pipelines.
* Ability to critically interpret, interrogate, and analyse KPIs for renewable assets.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and drive cross-departmental initiatives.
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues and providing timely solutions.
* Experience in the renewable energy sector or a similar field is highly desirable.
Purpose of the Reporting and Analysis Manager:
The Reporting and Analysis Manager will play a critical role in optimising the performance of renewable energy assets, including wind, solar, and other renewable technologies. This role involves building tools to aggregate and sort data derived from multiple sources and build consistent, accurate and agile reporting tools that ensure delivery of BSLs reporting obligations to internal, group, and external stakeholders. In addition, the role holder will work with Asset Management to develop tools to analyse data and provide insights to improve operational efficiency and maximise financial returns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Analyse current reporting processes to identify areas for optimisation and automation, ensuring efficient workflows.
2. Develop and manage data pipelines to collect, clean, and transform data from various sources, including SCADA systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
3. Utilise SQL queries, Power BI dashboards, and Python scripts to automate data processing and reporting workflows.
4. Design, develop, and maintain intuitive, user-friendly reporting solutions for stakeholders across the organisation.
5. Create dashboards and reports in Power BI and Excel, providing critical insights, performance metrics, and KPIs for informed decision-making.
6. Analyse and interpret data trends to support strategic business initiatives in the renewable energy sector.
7. Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, operations, engineering) to understand reporting requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
8. Provide training and support to staff in understanding and utilising the consolidated reporting systems.
9. Act as a primary point of contact for reporting-related queries and work to resolve issues promptly.
10. Stay abreast of the latest reporting technologies and best practices, and recommend and implement improvements where beneficial to the organisation.
11. Maintain data security and confidentiality by using information within the parameters of the job role, any applicable SLAs, the company data policies and/or privacy notices and the statutory guidelines set out within the GDPR and any associated UK legislation, in particular data that is generated by CCTV or that may be classified as personal information.
12. Comply with all required fire, health and safety requirements for the environment in which you are working, including making yourself aware of the current applicable policies and risk assessments and acting accordingly, and attending any required training.
13. Any other reasonable task as requested by a Manager, Partner or Director of the business.
Interactions within the Bluefield Group:
1. Close working relationship with Asset Management to understand reporting obligations and align objectives to deliver these.
2. High level of integration with Data team to ensure tools are built to integrate with existing software and solutions to deliver highest levels of efficiency.
3. Communicate information as required within the business.
4. Attend team meetings, company meetings, handover meetings and appraisals as required.
Job Location:
Bristol Central and frequent UK travel. Hybrid working available (min. 3 days in the office, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). There may be opportunities to travel overseas on occasion and this may be required for training purposes. You are required to visit company sites within the UK; this requires you to be able to drive.
Hours of Work:
37 ½ hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00 am until 5:30 pm. Flexible working is available.
