Essential Role Requirements
1. 5+ years of experience working in a practice environment.
2. AAT or ACCA qualified (or part-qualified).
3. Proficiency in IRIS Practice Suite/TaxCalc, Sage software, and Cloud Accounting software (Xero, Sage Online, QuickBooks, etc).
4. Strong communication and leadership skills to manage and mentor junior team members.
5. A client-focused approach with the ability to offer strategic business advice.
Key Responsibilities of the Client Manager
1. Assist the Senior Client Manager in managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including monitoring filing deadlines for year-end accounts and corporation tax returns (CT600s).
2. Play a key role in the development and management of Cloud Accounting systems and supporting applications, delivering a proactive and value-added service to the expanding client base.
3. Oversee a team of Senior Client Accountants and Client Accountants, ensuring efficient management of bookkeeping support and timely review of VAT returns and accounts.
4. Prepare year-end accounts, financial statements, business and personal tax computations, as well as Self-Assessments and tax returns, for clients within the portfolio.
5. Produce periodic management accounts, cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial projections for clients, acting in a consultancy capacity and supporting them in achieving business goals.
6. Advise clients on business efficiency, profitability, cash flow management, and tax planning, as well as assist with business valuations, business plans, and raising finance.
7. Actively promote the firm's services and seek out opportunities for introducing new clients, upselling core services, and supporting business growth.
