Main duties of the job
This is an exciting time for a senior clinician to join Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and be involved in the opportunities arising from working in Women's Services at Arnold Lodge. This is a replacement post. The final programmed activities will be agreed with the postholder and Clinical Director, but will include 10 programmed activities, including direct clinical care (7.5 PAs) and supporting activities (2.5 PAs).
Arnold Lodge has consistently been very highly rated by the Quality Network (currently in fourth place nationally) and hosts a wide-ranging forensic psychiatry outreach programme with regular placements for forensic psychiatrists from across the world.
The service has a strong track record and is looking to the future with a dynamic leadership team and Consultant group.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
* MRCPsych or equivalent
* Full GMC registration
* Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register or CCT in Forensic Psychiatry (or General Adult Psychiatry with appropriate forensic experience)
* Section 12(2) approval, Approved Clinician status and DBS clearance
* Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management
* Relevant higher degree eg MD, PhD, MSc or other additional clinical qualifications
* Additional clinical qualifications
* Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
* Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within 6 months
* Approved Clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
* Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
* In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice
Clinical Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
