For more information, visit www.pepsico.com. This role plays a vital part in orchestrating the predictive maintenance strategy through our Engineering vision and asset Reliability framework. This position will provide specialist technical support and guidance relating to vibratory monitoring and other machinery condition monitoring to our manufacturing, service and utilities areas. Responsibilities Develop and implement an effective condition monitoring system to monitor performance of mechanical rotating machineries in order to improve reliability and availability assets Vibration analysis (fixed and remote) Thermography Acoustic monitoring Process statistics/analysis Lubrication programme Assist the Engineering shift and support teams in carrying out Equipment Failure, Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Analysis. Supervise periodical condition monitoring and verification checks on various equipment using our fixed monitoring, remote monitoring system and other equipment condition monitoring systems and report any abnormalities. Generate periodic survey reports/progress reports on all CBM activities. Provide advanced support and direction to the site on CBM issues Responsible for reviewing and interpreting machine vibration data during root cause analysis (RCA) of failures. This includes real time and historical data in various formats from all existing systems and surveys Ensure the adequate frequency of the scheduled condition monitoring and reliability improvement programs relating to reliability and performance of equipment failures. Prepare detailed condition monitoring and performance monitoring check lists, and estimated man-hour and job requirements. Coordinate closely with other sections for Engineering shutdowns and carry out reliability and performance analysis including base line data collection and analysis following new installations, modifications, major maintenance or overhaul of mechanical machinery and equipment. Identify needs for maintenance and overhaul of equipment based on condition monitoring, reliability, and performance data analysis and inform maintenance section to raise maintenance work orders. Review and discuss equipment condition monitoring work progress, performance and related issues through the Reliability frame work, ensuring systematic and consistent implementation of work methods and procedures used in reliability management and engineering while recommending improvements. Receive, investigate, and resolve complaints related to performance or condition of mechanical equipment and machineries, evaluate innovative technologies, and identify opportunities for improvement, recommending changes/upgrades to maximise asset availability. Qualifications Time served Engineer with a Mechanical/Electrical discipline Sound knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, bearings, gearbox, motors etc Industrial experience in a food manufacturing environment would also be an advantage Computer literate. Familiarity with computer software (word, excel, etc) Strong problem solving skillset (Root Cause Analysis tools, Kaizen, Ishikawa, Cause and Effect) Good influencing, presentation, communication and decision making skills Proven background in coaching of technician resource on the front line Why PepsiCo?
