Employment Coach (HMP Stoke Heath) – Part Time, Permanent – Market Drayton, Shropshire – 30 hours per week – £19,985.00 per annum.

Role Overview – Employment Coach (HMP Stoke Heath):
In this great role, you will have the responsibility of mentoring and readying learners, clients, job seekers, or residents (including prisoners) for the workforce, equipping them for various employment and apprenticeship opportunities.
Role Responsibilities – Employment Coach (HMP Stoke Heath):
14. Accurately assess prisoners’ needs using the Digital PLP process, including their challenges, career goals, strengths, areas for growth, and training opportunities.
15. Develop goal-oriented action plans using Digital PLPs for all eligible.
16. Coach prisoners individually and in group settings during both induction and review stages of the process.
17. Provide support to prisoners during the Employment Hub and resettlement phases of their journey.
18. Bolster prisoners’ self-confidence, self-esteem, motivation, behaviours, skills, and knowledge.
19. Identify skills and qualities in learners, matching them appropriately with relevant job vacancies.
20. Progress learners and job seekers into apprenticeships and employment, ensuring their continued success in these endeavours.
21. Undertake a Level 4 Employability Practitioner Apprenticeship to aid in your ongoing learning and professional development.
Person Requirements:
22. Proficient in offering top-notch CV creation, job search, and interview assistance to learners and job seekers, including ex-offenders, those at risk of offending, NEET individuals, and the unemployed.
23. Skilled in providing effective coaching support to ensure learners secure employment and apprenticeship opportunities.
24. Capable of fostering a learner’s or job seeker’s self-confidence, self-esteem, and motivation, facilitating their success in the professional world and enabling long-term employment and career growth.
25. Experienced in coordinating interviews with employers and obtaining candidate feedback.
26. Proficient in identifying and aligning a learner’s skills and qualities with suitable job vacancies.
27. Competent in guiding learners and job seekers toward apprenticeships and employment opportunities while ensuring their continued success in these roles.
28. IAG Level 4 or Employability Practitioner Level 4 Apprenticeship.
