Are you a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for an opportunity to support children with additional learning needs? GSL Education are currently seeking a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a school in Wimborne on either a full-time or part-time basis, with an immediate start. The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs. You will assist in both classroom and one-to-one settings, helping students overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
* Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their academic, emotional, and social development.
* Assist teachers in delivering lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with additional needs.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive learning environment.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support individual learning plans.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents where necessary.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a school setting.
* A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting students.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Understanding of behaviour management techniques and SEN strategies is desirable.
* Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
