iO Associates are seeking a talented Chemical Process Engineer to join an innovative cleantech company specializing in sustainable materials and advanced recycling technologies. About the Role:
As a Chemical Process Engineer, you will take a leading role in scaling innovative chemical recycling technology from laboratory to pilot scale. You'll work on process design, development, and plant design, utilizing tools such as ASPEN and Excel to model energy, environmental, and economic factors.
In addition to hands-on work in the lab, you'll manage equipment procurement, liaise with suppliers, and oversee installation and project timelines to ensure objectives are met. You'll also conduct materials research, consolidate data into reports for stakeholders, and provide key support for leadership in shaping the development of advanced recycling processes.
What We're Looking For:

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Industrialisation Engineering (2:1 or above).
* Industry experience in scaling laboratory-based processes to pilot scale.
* Knowledge of polymer chemistry, water treatment, and/or chemical recycling technologies.
* Proficiency in process and plant design, including experience using ASPEN.
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
* Passion for sustainability and circular economic solutions.
* Willing to relocate to or work in the Bristol area.

Desirable Experience:
* Knowledge of advanced materials or fibre-reinforced composites (e.g., carbon/glass/aramid).
* Experience with high-pressure systems and lifecycle assessments (LCAs).
* A Master's degree or above.
* Project management skills or qualifications.
