We currently have a vacancy for PWP trainee to work in the Steps 2 Wellbeing Team in the Rural localities of Weymouth & Portland and Mid/West Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity for people with the appropriate skills to join a highly motivated and committed team.
Steps to Wellbeing is a busy, dynamic and progressive service with a friendly and supportive team of qualified clinicians and staff in training.
The role itself is both demanding and rewarding; providing psychological interventions to people with mild to moderate common mental health problems in primary care. We are looking for people with enthusiasm and passion to join our service. Good administrative, time management and communication skills are also essential. Experience of working within mental health, the NHS service or similar organisation is highly desirable.
You would undertake academic training, provided and accredited by University of Exeter. Time would be split between University study and on-job training. The on-job training would include learning about CBT-based self-management for clients suffering from mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression, using a stepped-care approach. All trainees will receive intensive supervision and support in their workplace as an integral element of their training. The post is a full time position, part time applications cannot be considered due to University commitments.
We are expecting a high volume of applications for this post; please be aware that we may close this advert earlier than stated if this is the case. It will not be possible to provide individual feedback prior to the interview dates due to the expected high volume of applications.
We will be interviewing on 4th, 5th and 6th December 2024.
