As a Buyer / Senior Buyer, you'll take the lead in managing end-to-end procurement of consumables, indirect goods, and services essential for our plant and business sites. From sourcing and negotiations to contract management, you'll play a key role in ensuring seamless operations while optimising costs.
What You'll Do:
1. Lead indirect purchasing of OPEX/CAPEX goods and services for an OEM.
2. Manage supplier sourcing, cost comparison, zero-based costing, negotiations, and contract awards with full transparency.
3. Build strong partnerships across internal teams, including programs, regional offices, legal, and finance.
4. Identify and on-board reliable suppliers for consumables and indirect materials such as office supplies and maintenance equipment.
5. Negotiate contracts that drive value, efficiency, and cost savings across all business sites.
6. Oversee procurement of HR-related services such as recruitment, training, and employee benefits.
7. Develop and implement cost-reduction strategies and category plans.
8. Proactively identify risks and implement contingency plans to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain.
What You Bring:
1. Proven experience in indirect sourcing, specifically within OPEX for an automotive or tech company, preferably in Greenfield or Brownfield projects.
2. Strong background in contract negotiation and vendor management.
3. In-depth knowledge of legal terms and compliance.
4. Expertise in project management and leadership, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
5. Market knowledge of pipe, valves, fittings, and zero-based costing for fabrication items.
6. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
8. Hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP and Ariba.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in indirect sourcing or procurement in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
