Starting Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 (depending on experience)
Our client is looking to appoint a Cashroom Assistant on a full time, permanent basis to join their team based in Inverness. This role would suit an individual with strong numerical skills and previous experience in an accounts administration/banking role.
This is a busy and varied role with duties including:
Assisting the Cashroom Manager in Ensuring compliance with cashiering/fee regulations.
Taking payments from Clients for fees and carrying out reconciliations.
Balancing Fees (daily/weekly) and dealing with any discrepancies.
Receipting Fee Notes.
Making CHAPS and BACS payments.
Bank Reconciliation.
Ensuring all transactions are carried out accurately, on time and within financial regulations.
Assisting the Property Department with reconciliation and posting of deposits and rental payments.
Ensuring payment of suppliers and contractors.
Updating and maintaining accurate and confidential client and supplier records in line with data regulations.
Obtaining relevant client documents including ID checks.
Monitoring payments and carrying out Credit Control duties.
Person Specification:
Strong numerical skills and the ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
Previous experience in a cashiering/accounts administration/banking role.
Strong IT skills including MS Office.
Ability to liaise with a range of internal and external contacts in a professional manner.
An understanding of financial procedures and best practice.
