Teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics (PRE) - The Misbourne
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an excellent teacher to join our Philosophy, Religion and Ethics (PRE) department from September 2025. The successful candidate will teach PRE in a dedicated subject classroom and will work alongside a supportive team of staff committed to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will be able to teach PRE to students in all key stages and be actively involved in GCSE preparation. You will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons to ensure students achieve their best outcomes.
We welcome applications from ECTs or more experienced teachers wishing to broaden their experience.
Term time only
Salary Type: Bucks pay
Salary details: MPS1-UPS3 with Fringe

About you
Requirements for this PRE role:
* Relevant experience teaching GCSE Religious Studies
* A strong understanding of the secondary PRE curriculum from Key Stage 3-5
* Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons to support students’ learning
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Must have a DBS on the updated service
* QTS status achieved or in progress
* Enjoys collaborative working as a strong team member
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver well-structured PRE lessons in line with the centralised curriculum and GCSE syllabus
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
* Support students with exam preparation to achieve academic success
* Foster a positive and motivating classroom environment
