About The Role
We are delighted to be offering an exciting opportunity to recruit 3x Quality Assurance & Improvement Officers. As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will have the opportunity to work across all Hounslow Adult Social Care department. You will be part of a small, but growing team that has a strong emphasis on social care values and practice standards. We are committed to supporting our colleagues in their journey to excellence and are passionate about improving outcomes for the adults we serve.
* You will work closely with the Quality Assurance Head of Service to ensure the implementation and delivery of the Quality Assurance Framework through an agreed programme of audit activity. You will undertake audits as directed by the Quality Assurance Head of Service, including working to audit specifications and writing bespoke audit tools.
* You will analyse audit data and prepare written reports on the audit findings and deliver presentations on audit findings to staff at all levels of the Department.
* You will support the Quality Assurance Head of Service in embedding quality assurance processes, including audit activity, across Adult Social Care and be responsible for collating, maintaining and reporting on data from identified areas of practice.
* You will work closely with the Adult’s Social Care Learning and Development Team to ensure that findings from quality assurance activity are reflected in appropriate training for staff.
* Through the quality assurance and audit process ensure that Policy and Procedures are relevant. Through understanding, knowledge and ability to follow guidelines that ensures compliance with Health and Safety at Work, Data Protection and other statutory requirements.
* You will have an understanding and commitment to promoting and implementing the Council’s Equal Opportunities policies.
* You will be required to undertake any other temporary responsibilities aligned with the overall purpose and grade of the role.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
* You will be joining a newly formed QA, Improvement & Specialist Services section of the department and will report to the Head of Quality Assurance and Development.
* You will also benefit from ASC’s first-rate training and development programme.
About You
* You will have a social Work Qualification or equivalent, or hold an ISO9000 Certification and have worked in a QA role within Care for a minimum of 3 years, as well as up to date registration with the appropriate professional body.
* You will be expected to draw on your previous knowledge and expertise or be able to undertake the necessary research and link with relevant subject matter experts to provide advice, support and expertise to practitioners and managers to improve service provision and quality across the Directorate.
* You will have a robust understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to follow guidelines to ensure compliance.
* You will be expected to undertake any other temporary duties consistent with the basic duties and/or objectives of the post.
Qualifications:
You will have a social Work Qualification or equivalent, or hold an ISO9000 Certification and have worked in a QA role within Care for a minimum of 3 years, as well as up to date registration with the appropriate professional body.
