Part-time: 25 Hours per week, 5 days a week. Attendance at evening meetings and weekend events may be required.
Location: Tring Town Council, Market House, 61, High Street, Tring, Herts HP23 4AB
Salary: Benchmark Profile 2 and NALC salary grade LC2 Substantive and pro rata the salary range of SCP 24 - 28 (pro rata £33,024 - £36,648 pa). Starting actual pay £22,313 per annum.
Tring Town Council is recruiting a Deputy Clerk to provide support to the Town Clerk and Council. The postholder will undertake a variety of duties to support the smooth and effective operation of the Council and its services and help ensure that its statutory duties are fulfilled.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have relevant experience – be motivated, community-focused, and possess sound financial, managerial, communication, IT/social media, and organisational skills. Candidates should ideally have a knowledge of local government law and procedures although this is not essential as training can be provided.
