What we're looking for: Qualifications: Level 5 in Health and Social care or Nursing qualification with a valid UK NMC Pin or equivalent senior experience in health and social care. Experience: Extensive experience in a patient safety role, with a proven track record of leading successful safety initiatives. Project Management: Qualification in project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Agile. Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of statutory requirements, governance, risk management, and incident response frameworks in the health and social care sector. Key Responsibilities PSIRF Implementation: Lead the development, delivery, and embedding of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework within the organisation. Patient Safety Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and safety of patient care in alignment with best practices and organisational goals. Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, regulatory frameworks, and health and social care guidance. Incident Response and Risk Management: Provide expertise in managing patient safety incidents, analysing complex data, and implementing effective risk management strategies. Collaboration and Leadership: Work with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to deliver patient safety projects, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared learning. Training and Development: Act as a subject matter expert to support staff development, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance organisational capacity for patient safety.
