An SEMH Secondary School based in Enfield are looking for an Art Teacher to teach Art across KS3/ KS4 .
The Role
In this Art Teacher role you will deliver a practical Art and Design curriculum where pupils can develop the skills required to undertake either vocational qualifications at Entry and level 1 and/or GCSE or level 2 equivalent courses within KS3 and KS4, and Level 2/3 qualifications at KS5. This is an exciting role for an experienced Art and Design teacher who wants to work practically with small groups of SEMH students to develop vocational skills and work towards qualifications that will provide them with both art skills and career opportunities.
As well as subject expertise, you will need a calm and sensitive approach at times of potential dysregulation. The school are looking for an Art Teacher with experience in de-escalation techniques and have a working and practical knowledge of key frameworks such as emotion coaching, nurture principles and zones of regulation. Team Teach training would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching in a school environment and up to date knowledge of subject area, syllabus, and teaching methods, alongside the following:
* QTS
* Specialism in Art (trained to degree level)
* SEN/SEMH or PRU experience
* Team Teach (preferable)

This SEMH School which caters for young people aged 11-18 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. All their students have a primary need within the area of SEMH and some students may have additional needs such as ASD or ADHD. Their core purpose is to improve the quality of life for their students and the wider community by nurturing potential.
