We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager in a number 2 role who will support the wider operational leadership team in managing financial operations.
This role is integral in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes and contributes significantly to the organisation's strategic objectives.
The Role:
As the Finance Manager, you will collaborate and partner closely with the Financial Director to drive financial performance and adherence to internal controls.
You will drive the month-end close process, budget preparation, and financial analysis. You will also contribute to maintaining compliance with financial regulations and provide advisory support to various departments as well as month reporting to group.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee month-end close and assist in preparing rolling forecasts and the annual budget.
* Complete reporting requirements, review balance sheet reconciliations, and the monthly management pack.
* Support the preparation of presentations for internal and divisional meetings and ensure accuracy of data.
* Assist in the CapEx process, overseeing cash-out, addition, and disposal of fixed assets.
* Analyse cost trends and provide insights for financial decision-making and cost efficiency.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions for enhanced efficiency.
* Maintain a robust control environment in line with group financial policies.
* Engage with various departments to provide financial insights and guidance.
* Take ownership of complex financial projects, driving them to successful completion.
* Demonstrate leadership by developing and mentoring the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance.

Experience Required:
* ACCA/CIMA qualification.
* Extensive experience in a finance environment, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
* Proven management and leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing a team.
* Strong aptitude with Microsoft Office applications.
* Well-organised, flexible, and reliable with a proactive approach.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines, manage priorities, and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
* Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK to support operational sites and attend group forums.
