If so, come and join EDF as a Commissioning Manager The Opportunity As a Cross-Functional Delivery Commissioning Manager, you’ll support the Commissioning Programme at Hinkley Point C by ensuring the successful execution of commissioning activities. You’ll work closely with the wider Commissioning Discipline Teams to align with key business objectives, including Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost. You’ll lead a team of 10-20 Engineers, overseeing Configuration Management, Verification/Acceptance of Test Results, Issue Resolution/Open Point Management, and Data and Information Management. In this role, you’ll be accountable for the team's performance and wellbeing, reporting directly to the Senior Commissioning Manager. Additionally, you’ll drive continuous improvement, support team development, and foster strong collaboration with key stakeholders across the broader HPC Project to ensure clear communication of the team’s vision and objectives. What you’ll be doing You’ll be responsible for managing a team of approximately 10-20 engineers within the Cross-Functional Delivery Team, providing clear guidance, decision-making, and a structured escalation route. You’ll monitor and report on project-level objectives and milestones, ensuring alignment with the broader Commissioning Programme. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders across the project to ensure team requirements are met and build strong working relationships. You’ll also engage with and present to both internal and external regulators while acting as a deputy to the Senior Commissioning Manager when required. Who you are You’ll have a strong delivery mindset, ensuring results through clear accountability, and confidently influencing both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll demonstrate excellent leadership by coaching and developing the skills of others, fostering a culture of safety, autonomy, and trust within a diverse team. You’ll have strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline and experience working in a regulatory environment are essential. It would be great if you also have experience in information and data management within a project environment, particularly in the nuclear industry. An understanding of CDM regulations and other statutory requirements, commercial awareness regarding the impact of change, and some experience leading technical teams would be advantageous. French language skills would be a bonus.
