A global, fast-paced manufacturing company based in Essex requires a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their established engineering team to work on their day shift.
Key tasks include:
1. The individual will be required to repair, overhaul and attend breakdown situations as well as planned maintenance tasks.
2. Assisting the engineering maintenance team leader to identify future maintenance requirements.
3. Maintenance and repair of heavy industrial process equipment including pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors, as well as mounting and dismounting of large bearings.
4. Analyse and rectify plant/process defects in a timely manner using RCA.
The successful candidate will have mechanical maintenance experience gained within the manufacturing industry and have a recognised apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline/educated to C&G/NVQ L3 or equivalent.
The opportunity is days based Monday – Friday, 8am-4.30pm. In addition to a competitive salary, the position comes with overtime at x1.5, a pension scheme, and 25 days holiday. After probation, the role is on a call-out rota one week in six.
Ideally, candidates will have worked in a continuous process environment (e.g., automotive, chemicals, FMCG, water, steel, aluminium, power, or recycling), in a position such as: Mechanical Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Maintenance Technician.
