As a Trainee Site Manager you will be responsible for:
* Producing short-term weekly programmes for your section and subordinates’ section in line with overall contract programme requirements
* Ensuring accurate daily records (diaries, labour and material returns) are kept
* Liaising with team members on a daily basis
* Encouraging and developing others to succeed in their roles
* Producing record sheets/change notes or similar to assist Site Manager/Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor
* Ensuring materials, plant, and equipment are ordered and controlled in line with the project specific prelims and bills of quantities
* Monitoring the requirements of the Group’s Health and Safety procedures and maintaining safety records for all work activities under your control
* Correct interpretation of drawing information to enable accurate setting out
What you'll need
* Prepared to work towards HND/HNC
* Nat 4/5/GCSE equivalent in Maths and English required
* Complimentary relevant experience
* Ability to work under pressure
* Methodical approach
* Numerate
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Willingness to learn
About you
As a Trainee Site Manager, we understand this may be one of your first roles, so we’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in the construction industry. Experience within this sector would be great; however, if you can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and show a methodical approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills, this could be the role for you. We will support you through your Traineeship to develop and progress in your chosen career path.
